Sheffield Wednesday keeper Lee Grant started out at Derby County, making over 75 appearances for the Rams and earning international recognition by representing England at Under-21 level.
He fell out of favour at Pride Park and after brief loan spells with Burnley and Oldham he signed for the Owls in the summer of 2007 on a [...]

Boot Wars: North-East All Or Nothing

May 11th, 2009 by James Evans | 1 Comment

As for Beye, since when did defenders wear Nike Mercurial Vapors? The speediest, lightest, most attack-minded boot ever made. Good in the tackle? No. Gritty? No. A defender’s boot? No way.

Boot Room Banter: Blades man Danny Webber

May 6th, 2009 by James Evans | Comment

Boot Room Banter: Arturo Lupoli of Sheffield United..

Boot Room Banter: Sam Vokes, of Wolves

February 17th, 2009 by James Evans | Comment

He made his name for the South Coast strugglers as he [...]

I go through maybe two pairs of match boots in a season and another three training boots, but with the current weather you go through more because the boots are getting wet and stretching and shrinking.
