So what’s new? Asics have introduced asymetrical lacing that conforms to the shape of your feet. An increased toe box. Injected Solyte foam in the forefoot, increased Gel in the rearfoot and a more rigid, gender specifc Space Trusstic in the arch. This increase rigidity has also been added to by the addition of a DuoMaxdual density midsole insert: a harder foam inserted in the midsole to give the foot a better support in the arch area, where it is needed most, while allowing other areas to be softer and therefore better cushioned.
What did you find? The Asics Kayano 15is a bit of a mixed bag. They are a very different beast from the Asics Kayano 14’s. The Asics Kayano 15 feel stiffer in the midsole but overall more cushioned than the 14’s. Also the increased toe box did result in one or two blisters. However, after the initial blisters caused by the increased toe box the Kayano 15’s show their class and provide a well balanced ride. We would recommend them for runners with normal arches who need a stable, well-cushioned shoe.
We would love to hear your thoughts. In fact we are giving away a pair of Asics Kayano 15’s for the best review!
The asics Kayano 15’s are currently on sale from £74.95
