My New Friends – New Balance 768 running shoes
November 19th, 2008 by James D | CommentComments
Three weeks ago I entered into a new relationship. A clandestine affair that has left me feeling guilty when I look at what I have had before.
I’ve had other trainers before. Ones that have helped me get from A to B on my journey from here to there but I’ve recently found companionship with a new pair of shoes that provide me with a type of support that I have never had before. They also provide lots of cushioning which is good since I’m pretty heavy at the moment!
These shoes give a sort of comfort in stride that I have never really had before. Prior to owning them I have always run in what would probably be considered Cross Trainers and as these are my first pair of running shoes I can really tell the difference.
As a runner I require some extra support for my instep and comparative to trainers in which I have run before, I can confirm that these trainers do meet the requirements of an ‘overpronator‘ such as I. When I run, I can literally feel the extra support and how it corrects my stride and foot-fall.
So for anyone who is looking for a first pair of running shoes or a change from their current pair, I can highly recommend the New Balance 768’s. The New Balance 768’s usually retail for £79.99 but Sportsshoes are selling them for £39.99 plus £4.99 P&P.
If you want to find out a bit more about the 768’s take a look at this video I found on Youtube.
In other news, I went out for my first run in over a week on Saturday and as usual, I have learned something. DO not, ever, try and go out running the morning after a night before. Hangovers and running just do not mix.
