On Sunday, three athletes made history after running 10 consecutive sub 3hr 30 min marathons over 10 days in what has become the UK’s ultimate endurance running event, the Brathay 10 in 10 Challenge. In doing so, they completely obliterated the world record total aggregate time of 35 hours 20 minutes set just 12 months ago at the 2008 event.
One of those runners is our very own product reviewer – Adam Holland. Even more amazingly is that not only did Adam win the event at his first attempt he also set a new World Record with a total time of 32 hours 47 minutes over the 10 days. That’s an average finishing time of just 3 hours and 16 minutes!! Also in the process he has raised almost £1500 for the Brathay Trust and is only £500 short of his £2k target. If you would like to sponsor Adam please click on this link.
We are truly not worthy of Adam’s talents but hope to persuade him (If he does not get a sponsorship deal!) to continue to test products for us. Hopefully when he has recovered in the next few days we can get him to explain just how you can run 10 marathons in 10 days. One a year is enough for me!
