Reviews
Ransacker has created one of the most comprehensive running shoe testing programs on the internet. Our exclusive Running Shoe Review Program takes the key elements of research – user feedback and an unrelenting lab test under true scientific conditions – to ultimately test what running shoes live up to the hype.
No fluffy language, no outlandish claims, just the hard reality of how well a boot stands up to the demands of three of the most rigorous independent tests.
It’s the only place on the web where you can truly decide which running shoes deliver on their promises. And which don’t.
Ransacker Rated or Slated!
Once again, we prove that we are not afraid to pull any punches. Because we are 100% impartial and don’t rely on advertising revenue, we are entirely honest in our reviews. We review running shoes under real conditions. That means pounding the pavements and taking to the hills to see how the shoes really do perform. Click here to read our latest reviews.
Look out later in the year for our Ransacker Best Buy Award. The award recognises the running shoes that achieve the highest results across the Ransacker Shoe Review Program, the internet’s toughest review panel.
User Reviews

These are the most important reviews on Ransacker because they are written by runners like yourself. If you have rated or slated a running shoe we’d love to hear your opinion. Not only will you be helping your fellow runners but for every review submitted you’ll be giving yourself the chance to win the latest running shoes. Every month we will be giving away a free pair (up to the value of £100) to the author of the best review – simply find the running shoes you wish to review and click the Review link to write your masterpiece!

In The Lab
Later in 2010 we will set about mechanically testing the latest running shoes on the market. Initially we will test their pressure distribution qualities. This will allow us to indentify how much support the running shoes provide to your feet, weather or not they are comfortable and if they could result in injury or aggravation. Over the long term we also hope to be able to test their traction, power transfer and durability.
