WHO’LL WIN? WANJIRU? KIBET? OR YOU?
The London Marathon is almost upon us. Just over a week to go until 26 miles, 385 yards of sweat, toil, tension and sore toes.
It’s where heroes are made, PBs are broken, and even the highest-regarded club runners go AWOL somewhere around the 20-mile mark!
Whilst it seems half the watching public love the event because they’re intrigued as to how much body-weight a man can lose in a duck outfit, there is of course the serious business of a race to be won.
We’re sticking our necks out and predicting a Kenyan victory (given that last year’s top five fastest runners all hail from the country… we’re pretty sharp like that!). But who do you think is going to win? And in what time?
While you may or may not have been lucky enough to make it into this year’s race, you can certainly share some of the elation of winning (well, partially)by scooping the same pair of shoes as worn by the 2010 winner. That is of course unless you are a female, in which instance you will receive the women’s version of the same shoes.
All you need to do is guess the winning male runner along with the time that you think they will cross the line in – this will be the tiebreaker.
