The 1906 is a high-cushioned, high-mileage shoe that rides smooth and feels densely cushioned underfoot. Our wear-testers roundly agreed with one tester who described the shoe as the Swedish foam mattress of running shoes. The heel and midfoot fit very nicely, but we were disappointed that a $200 shoe still suffers from forefoot overlays that fold down onto the toes during toe off. The 1906 is a hot shoe. The tongue is too stiff, putting pressure on the top of the foot. Maybe a bit heavy, too. |
