Wayne Rooney was sporting the new Nike Total 90 Laser III football boots on Saturday against Aston Villa, but was unable to inspire United to a victory as Villa won 1-0 at Old Trafford through a Gabriel Agbonlahor header.
The Nike Total 90 Laser III football boots, which are designed to be some of the deadliest and most accurate boots around didn’t help Rooney with his performance, or even allow him to fire on target many times.
Rooney hit the crossbar from only a few yards out and saw shots blocked, fire wide and deflected all over place.
This is the first time the Nike Total 90 Laser III football boots have been used in the Premier League, and we expect to see them again tomorrow as Fernando Torres laces them up for Liverpool’s match against Arsenal.
Rooney also saw a late shot blocked as he sported the boots in the Green/Red/Black colour as United dropped points following Chelsea’s draw against Everton.
Hopefully Torres will be showing the potential of the boots tomorrow as Rooney hasn’t given them much justice yet.
