Right so Nike have set up this new concept called Nike Football +, where you are given a code with your new Nike football boots, and can use this to unlock training methods online or on your iPhone to improve your game and master the boots.
Most Nike football boots come in three or four different price ranges, going from the bottom boots priced around £30 to the top range, which are normally about £130. So in this case, the better the boots you buy the more training exercises you can unlock.
As we have had a couple of pairs of Nike Total 90 Laser III football boots we were also given the code for the Nike Football + scheme which allows us to access all of the “Master Accuracy” training scheme, which is part of the T90 range of skills and tests.
Also as we have the top range of the boots, we have the full 4-week training program to allow us to go through the stages week-by-week and let YOU know how it goes, and if it works.
The Master Accuracy Nike Football + program is broken up in to three training sessions a week, for four weeks with around 6 challenges each week, getting progressively harder, with the steps and instructions being explained with diagrams and examples of Juventus coaches and stars doing the drills.
The first week focuses on the ‘Fundamental’ elements of striking a ball and mastering your accuracy.
Nike say, “Week 1 is designed to work on your shooting technique and accuracy through a series of elementary ‘stop and shoot’ drills that allow you time on the ball. This is the first step in lethal finishing.”
The second of the four weeks focuses on ‘Direct Shooting’.
Nike say, “Week 2 focuses on the Direct Shot – shoot without taking a controlling touch. It’s a striker’s art requiring balance, timing and all the precision you’ll get from working with this week’s drills.”
Week Three focuses on shooting ‘Off the Dribble’.
Nike say, “Week 3 is custom-made for the virtuoso player who creates a shot out of nothing and on the run. Get deadly off-the-dribble with three rigorous shooting drills.”
The fourth and final week focuses on ‘Acrobatic Shooting’, such as volleys.
Nike say, “The best strikers have a shot for every situation, every angle, and every eventuality. Perfect your volley and complete your armoury.”
As the weeks progress you will also recap some of the previous week’s work and use the advanced skills that you have been taught.
