It must be so frustrating being an Arsenal fan. All they crave is a striker who isn’t Nicolas Bendtner and they might get somewhere. In the last fortnight they’ve seen their FA Cup ambitions snuffed out by Stoke, plus been humiliated in two crunch Premier League frontrunner showdowns in losing 3-1 against Manchester United and, yesterday, 2-0 at Chelsea.
Suspend belief for just one second and imagine if they’d won both of those matches. The Gunners would now be joint top, the big cheeses, the head honchos, the dog’s wotsits. Instead their title dreams, just like their FA Cup ambitions, lay in tatters again.
Wenger’s policy of spending next to nothing is admirable, but it doesn’t win trophies, and as much as Bacary Sagna, in a pair of the new Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots, tried to utilise the cleat’s ultra-comfortable, uber-flexible design and sturdy all-action chassis to his advantage, as usual money talks, both in terms of Ashley Cole’s sizeable wodge of a pay-packet, though more markedly in terms of the all-new ever-so-slightly overpriced though ultimately very good Nike CTR360 Maestri. A wing-back’s boot if ever there was one, with box-to-box aggression mixed with top notch tackling ability and the tendency to pick a pass.
And so it did, as Didier Drogba’s brace left Arsenal fans with only one thing to look forward to now over the next few months of action: the World Cup. Thierry’s there, after all…
Result: Nike CTR360 Maestri 3-0 Puma PowerCat 1.10

Sagna wasn’t wearing puma v-konstrukts, he was wearing the new puma powerkat boots in black and lime green.Look at the picture about halfway down this page: http://www.soccerbible.com/news/general/archive/2010/02/08/football-boots-premier-league-boot-spotting-08-02-10.aspx100% certainty he is wearing the PWR kats and not the konstrukt.
John – You have shown us the error of our ways! Thank you very much. As a thank you we’ll send you a £10.00 Voucher for Sportsshoes.com. We’ve looked everywhere for a decent picture of Sagna but it doesn’t look like he did much.
Hehehe,no problem mates. Thanks for the voucher! Yes the arsenal team as a whole could have done a lot better but I think the difference was just one clinical striker in the end.
