Likely to divide opinion as much as Emile Heskey’s England contribution, the new Puma V1.10 will be launched today and are set to make a statement! No doubt they will be gracing the feet of Puma’s more illustrious ambassadors mes-sires, Cole and Anelka,
If the Puma V1.10 were a car, they’d be a sup-ed up Cosworth in luminous yellow with a shopping trolley styled spoiler, a twin exhaust and under lights. OK they’d still have the speed but do the added extras really enhance performance?!
So what’s new?The Puma V1.10 is set to replace the highly regarded Puma V1.08. So it had better be good. The most significant difference is a one-piece outsole, that will supposedly increase stability and support whilst reducing the weight. Puma have also enhanced their UNI technology, in which the upper is stitched – not glued or lasted – to the sole which provides a greater fit. Finally, the now ‘industry standard’ lace cover has been added, so no more blaming your laces on a fluffed shot!
Ransacker Verdict: Sounds good on paper, looks bad in picture but all that matters is how the Puma V1.10 perform on the pitch. This shocking colorway must just be a marketing stunt to get some interest and will hopefully be followed quickly by some more attractive designs. Rest assured we will be getting a pair on the feet of our pro footballer later this month so please return to see if they are Rated or Slated.
P.S Just in case you are wondering why Puma have lept from the V1.08 to the V1.10. The number refers to the season they are launched.

my answer to the PS question is that puma only recreates their shoes every 2 years. Since it started on an even year it has always been 2,4,6,8,10,12..etc
