The Premier League produces some of the best goals in the world and Ransacker has decided to celebrate that fact by bringing you a new weekly feature – Our goal of the week boot. Each week we will choose what we consider to be the best goal scored in the Premier League and discuss the boot that did the damage.
This week’s winner was the superb volley by Sunderland’s Sebastian Larsson to equalise against Liverpool at Anfield. Larsson signed for Sunderland from Birmingham in the summer and wasted no time in endearing himself to the Mackem fans. The midfielder met a Ahmed Elmohamady cross with a perfectly timed scissor-kick volley that flew past Reina and into the right hand corner of the net. Not a bad way to start life at your new club!
The midfielder produced Ransacker’s goal of the week while wearing a pair of Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite – Black/White/Red boots. The football boots are part of Nike’s Control range and feature Kanga-lite synthetic leather for the ultimate comfort, support and touch.
The Nike CTR360 Maestri II also feature front-foot dampening pads that Nike say provide the ultimate first touch control. The boots also include a soft TPU receiving pad with raised 3D fins that help to reduce ball bounce and increase passing accuracy.
The Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite – Black/White/Red boots had a very successful first weekend, as Wolves Stephen Ward was also wearing the boots when smashing in the winning goal against Blackburn at Ewood Park. The Wolves defender hit a sweet half-volley from 20-yards to give Mick McCarthy’s men all three points.
