Not much doubt who stole the plaudits in the weekend’s Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly vs Lotto Zhero Leggenda contest on Sunday. Drog’s fleet of foot and precision of pass showed the Nike boot to be as adept at setting up chances as it is taking them, with his assists to Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda putting another nail in Liverpool’s title chances. Yes, we know it’s only October and that’s a ridiculous thing to say, but three defeats already spells bad news for the Reds.
Johnson did impress on occasions in his Lotto Zhero Leggenda, but there was only one winner on the day, and it would have taken a lot of Lotto to beat the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly.
