Every month we scour the web to find you the hottest running shoes on offer. They may not always be the cheapest running shoes but they will offer the best value possible. This month we have gone for a mixed bunch – from the conventional Asics 3010 to the wierd but wonderful Vibram 5 Fingers.
Asics Gel 3010 Running Shoes – RRP: £99.99 Ransacker Price: £89.98
Suprisingly it was not the Kinsei 2, the Nimbus 11 or even the Kayano 15’s that grabbed our attention when Asics release its Autumn / Winter range but the humble Asics Gel 3010. With a generous level of cushioning and ample support the 3010 provides a structured and smooth ride. We are really impressed with the latest update. Your feet now sit lower to the ground and as a result it has a faster feel than the Asics 2140 and a more responsive toe-off than the Kinsei 2.
Newton Gravity Running Shoes. RRP £130.00 Ransacker Price £130.00
When Newton first suggested his theories people scoffed yet they lived to regret their ignorance. Perhaps the same can be said about Newton running shoes. Designed to produce the lowest g impact scores ever recorded they promote efficient mid foot running. Adopted by triathletes they have yet to significantly enter the running market but watch this space.
Nike Air Pegasus+ 26 Running Shoes. RRP: £70.00 Ransacker Price £59.98
It seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating the 25th brithady of this legendary shoe. Now a year older the Pegasus shows no signs of slowing down. The cushioning has been improved to provide a more natural feel. And the upper has been stripped back and revised to provide greater room and less weight. fewer overlays and 2-way stretch mesh for amazing fit.
Vibram 5 Fingers KSO. RRP £99.99 Ransacker Price £98.99
The 5 fingers are designed to act like a glove around your feet. Protecting them from sharp objects and allowing you to run barefoot. Vibram recommend that you take some time getting used to the shoes before event attempting a run. We will hopefully be testing them over the next month but our gut instinct thinks that they will only really be suitable as a training aid.
