In English, we want to stay in business and continually reward everyone involved with Ransacker. In no particular order we want;
- Everyone to have the chance to play sport and that is why 50% of our commission goes to charity.
- Our users to get great deals and a great service hence we only compare retailers who offer both.
- Our retailers to benefit from increased custom and repeat business.
- The environment to benefit by promoting the recycling of running shoes.
- Finally we want to lead by example by doing good things and hopefully the rest will follow. If you are interested you can find out a bit more about each below.
Shopping comparison websites exist because they earn a commission from their retailers every time someone clicks from their website to the retailers website.Hence the more shopping comparison websites advertise the more traffic they get and this leads to greater commission. We don't want to operate like that, we want to be recommended by friends and family and we want to reward worthy causes (rather than share holders). Hence if a user (you) clicks through from Ransacker to one of our recommended retailers and makes a purchase will give 50% of our commission to one of the four great charities that we support.
We love our sport and that is why we want to help you enjoy your sport. Hopefully we can do this by finding you the product (At present just running shoes) that you are looking for at great price with great service. However getting both of these online is often very difficult because you don't have the time to trawl through the web looking for the best deals and often you have not heard of the retailer! To overcome this, Ransacker uses advanced Web-crawling technology, consumer based feedback and retailer vetting to help you get a great deal. Meaning that you can spend less money and time online and more offline!
Our retailers are our "engine room", without them we could not do any of the above! We rely on them to provide great service and prices that put smiles on our user's faces. In return we try and make it as easy for them as possible to join Ransacker and we only ask that they pay us a commission when a sale is made and list completely impartially. It does not matter on the size of the retailer or their marketing budget, all we are interested in is quality of service and competitive pricing. This means that all retailers listed on Ransacker are on an equal playing field.
Too many online businesses are profit driven. Yes we want to make a profit as well but we also want to make a difference on the way. Thankfully, due to the wonders of technology we don't have massive overheads or a large staff count so we can make a profit and a difference.
