Another Superb Asics Shoe! The Asics Gel 3000 was launched in 2008 and has rapidly become a firm favorite amongst runners seeking slightly more support than the Asics Kayano.
What's New? By supporting the forefoot through the final stages of the stride the Gel 3000 puts the foot in a more efficient position during the propulsion phase to minimize energy loss and further inhibit over-pronation. It also has a memory-foam lined heel with two layers of foam that mould to the heel for a snug, comfortable fit.
What We Think: The Asics Gel 3000 provides a lower ride to aid stability but in doing so it does not feel as protective. However this is just an initial reaction, once worn in the 3000 is an excellent shoe that provides a smooth ride, a rare quality for a support shoe!
