A Revolutionary New Trail Shoe
After several years of research and development, while always listening to runners' needs, Salomon has been able to establish that what matters immensely for a running shoe is its mass distribution. The weight in the back section of the XT Wings has been reduced, while guaranteeing excellent shock absorption and heel hold.

Dynamic, comfortable, attractive, and robust the XT Wings are the answer to the prayers of both top athletes and occasional runners. However, the XT Wings is an aggressive off-road running shoe and we would not recommend it for light trails / tow paths, it has been designed to tackle the mountains.
Innovative Technology
Through the new application "running maps" Salomon focuses even more on its ultimate consumers. The application allows them to record and save their different race courses and to share training tracks and sports challenges in conjunction with a GPS enabled Nokia handset.
